It’s no secret that the Ford F-150 pickup truck is one of the highest-rated and top selling trucks on the road today. But Ford isn’t going to rest on its laurels; it released a new 2013 Ford F-150 that continues the tradition of class-leading towing, improving gas mileage, and a luxurious interior.
Although instantly recognizable, there are actually ten unique Ford F-150 models. Each trim is a combination of three available cabs, three available beds, and four available engines. The available cabs can sit either three or six passengers, depending on the driver’s needs. The bed, also known as the truck’s box, can be anywhere from five and a half feet to eight feet long. Most trims give drivers the choice between a 3.7-Liter V6 FFV engine, a 5.0-Liter V8 FFV engine, a 6.2-Liter 2V EFI V8 engine, and an Ecoboost 3.5-Liter V6 engine. These options can make an F-150 anywhere from a work-ready XL trim, to the premium Limited with a SuperCrew cab and 22-inch aluminum wheels, and anywhere in between.
Beyond what is included in the trims, there are numerous accessories available. Two unique chrome grille inserts, 6-inch chrome step bars, a hood deflector, and a chrome exhaust tip are only a few of the features to make the exterior of the 2013 Ford F-150 even more personalized. Fun items for the inside include a portable DVD rear seat entertainment system, an interior light kit for extra ambiance, and cargo organizers.
When properly equipped with the Heavy Duty Payload Package, the 2013 Ford F-150 can tow well over eleven thousand pounds.
